BOARD OF DIRECTORS
JUDITH G. KEUSLER
Judy Keusler is a graduate of Mundelein College, a small Midwestern college specializing in the development of women leaders, which is now affiliated with Loyola of Chicago. She started her college journey at Emporia State College immediately following high school in 1962. After a couple of years, however, the demands of a young family became her priority. She attended numerous seminars and workshops over the years, but did not resume her formal education until 1987 when she enrolled in a non-traditional curriculum at Mundelein College, graduating in 1989 at the ripe age of 45. Judy retired from Grant County Bank in 1999 as Executive Vice-President and Chief Lending Officer after 28 years of service to join her husband in retirement. She has many hobbies, such as photography and digital photo designs, quilting, writing and cooking. Both Judy and her husband Ken enjoy spending time with their 5 grandchildren. Over the years, both Judy and Ken participated in many hours of various kinds of community service.
When her children were young, they concentrated on supporting their activities, providing leadership, transportation, snacks and support for whatever they chose to do. They also belonged to civic clubs and service groups. Of all of those efforts, the ones closest to their hearts are Ken’s 14 years of service as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Judy’s work organizing a shelter for battered women and children in Ulysses and serving as an advocate. Judy was also part of a grassroots effort to develop an after school program for kids. She is active in Rotary International, currently serving as Assistant Governor for District #5690, and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow in The Rotary Foundation. She has been married to her husband, Ken, for 43 years and has lived in Ulysses for most of that time. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren, and enjoy the camaraderie of a close extended family, spending many hours hosting and attending family gatherings.
