ARDIS FRY

Ardis was born in McPherson, Kansas.  She grew up on a farm homesteaded by her grandparents northwest of McPherson. Ardis graduated from McPherson High School in 1961 and went on to study at Bethany College, Lindsborg, KS.  She graduated from Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing in Kansas City Missouri in 1965.  After working as a nurse in Missouri, Arizona, Colorado, she married Luther Fry in 1971.  They moved to Garden City in 1978 with their two sons, Eric and David.  Ardis has always worked in some capacity with her husband in his Ophthalmology practice. 

She has served in many capacities with many organizations in the community over the years, but is most proud of being one of the originators of the Western Kansas Community Foundation.  Her hobbies include traveling, skiing, golf, scuba diving, but enjoys her family and friends the most.
