Janie Welsh

Janie was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.  She came to western Kansas in 1987, via Colorado and Texas with her husband Tom, who was the manager of Old Santa Fe Feeders, Inc. in Sublette.  They had six sons, Joe, Bob, Matthew, Jerrod, Anthony and Tommy.  They lost Anthony to cancer in 2007.

In 1989 Janie received her Kansas Real Estate License and in 1991, opened up her own real estate firm and named is SASNAK.  That’s Kansas spelled backward.  Her firm is now associated with U.S. Land and Home.

 Over the years, Janie has been active in several agencies and organizations and has served as past President of the Sublette Area Chamber of Commerce and Sublette Rotary Club.  Janie believes it is important to become involved and contribute back to the community.  She is honored to serve as a Director on the Board for the Western Kansas Community Foundation.

 Some of the things Janie enjoys include dancing, music, golf, and friends, but most of all, her family and spending time with Del Rey, Payton and Katie, her grandchildren.
