Dennis Mesa

Dennis L. Mesa, native Garden Citian, son of the late Albert Mesa Sr. and Ann Mesa.  A graduate of Garden City High School Class of 1972, a member of Garden City High School Hall of Fame and he attended Garden City Community College.   The Dennis L. Mesa family was featured in the PBS Special, "America Becoming". 

Mr. Mesa has served with many civic, state and national groups,...  Kansas State Historical Society, Kansas Humanities Council, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer's Relay for Life, League of United Latin American Citizens, Leadership Kansas, Rotary, Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, Finney County United Way, St Catherine Hospital to name a few.  During his eight years as City Commissioner of Garden City, Dennis served twice as Mayor of Garden City. 

Dennis and his wife Lanette, an employee of St Catherine Hospital, have three daughters, Krista, Andrea, and Brittany.

Dennis returns to the WKCF Board of Directors after previously serving from 2002 - 2007. Dennis L. Mesa, is Western Kansas Regional Director for U.S. Senator Sam Brownback.
