BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Alice Banning
Alice was born and raised in
Lincoln, Nebraska and is the oldest of three girls. She graduated from the
University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in Home Economics Education.
She married her husband Ed, during college and taught junior high school
while he was completing his graduate work at UNL. They have three children,
David of Overland Park, Kansas, Michael of Columbia, Missouri and Anne of
Lincoln, Nebraska. They have five grandchildren.
Ed and Alice have been in
Garden City since 1980. Alice recently retired as Coordinator of the Child
and Adult Care Food Program at Russell Child Development Center. She is an
active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, an adult choir member and member
of the Bell Choir.
Alice serves on several boards
and committees that focus on improving nutrition and physical activity. She
enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, traveling, music - and people
in general.
